When loading the application, you will see the Left Half of the screen containing an isometric picture of the Viikki area. This 2D-view has been developed as a light-weight alternative to the 3D-view, and does not have the same requirements e.g. on the computer hardware. The same 3D-data is nevertheless used for building both implementations.

If you want to re-load the 2d-view in the Left Half of the screen, please be patient as it may take a while to first close down the 3D-view.

You can zoom closer in an isometric picture by clicking at it or by selecting a view from another direction. You may also choose to view the orthographic picture which resembles an ordinary map. You may after this want to view a building next to the current view. Then pan by using the Arrow Buttons or go back to the initial view using the Zoom Extents Button.

When having zoomed closer, you will notice two kinds of mostly yellow colored logo-links. By clicking a Phonelink you will get information related to a certain address, e.g. companies and their telephone numbers. The TourLink gives in a similar way information on a certain location, usually as a panoramic picture and a short explanaition.
